Twelve years ago, we knew nothing about Market America, but because of the training offered by the National Meeting, Training & Seminar System, we were able to bring the right people who wanted change to the events and they were trained along with us.

I was a sales manager with a direct sales company for 20 years and Dave was an automotive instructor and department head for the technology deptartment of a high school. I was suffering from major “burnout” so I resigned from my position and started to research and became involved with a number of “home-based” and MLM businesses. In 1996, I discovered something completely different - Market America! I made Market America my career and after just one year, we were making a substantial income and Dave was able to retire and join me in the business. Now our greatest reward is to see hundreds of lives changed because of market-driven and life-impacting products.

One thing we learned is that if you treat this business as a business, IT WILL PAY YOU A PROFESSIONAL INCOME! We feel that there are two requirements to be successful:

1) Be coachable and 2) Have a sincere desire to help people. When your dreams and your vision are so vivid that the facts don’t count, you know you are on your way to financial freedom!!! If you are willing to change, then you can make a difference and change the world. JR makes the statement that the definition of ignorance is to do the same thing day after day and expect a different result! We say that if you are not where you want to be in your life, either physically, spiritually or financially, then you must make a change. It is never too late!

Our greatest joy has been to watch our family become involved in our business and realize a life-long dream of living back on the farm where I grew up. Our 80 acres with a lake is being developed into an apple orchard retreat and training center “Sowing Seeds” for family, friends and ministries that will give back to the community and be a tribute to my parents. Our son, Christopher (mentored by Kevin Buckman), his wife JoAnna, and their baby Aspen, are very passionate about “Sowing Seeds” and will be in charge of making it happen. Our daughter, Tara, and her husband, Mike Brown, are Professional Coordinators and are continuing to build a strong business.
